After last year's list was so well-received, we're bringing you another update of our favorite fair fashion labels for sustainable children's clothing . Spring is here, and we've been searching for cool long shirts and lightweight pants for kids, as well as sustainable accessories. You can find our favorites below. 😎
Why is it worth shopping for clothes for kids from small, sustainable labels?
- Because the items last longer than one season.
- Because that way your child won't be wearing the same Tchibo T-shirt as five other children in daycare.
- Because these labels often ship plastic-free , so you don't have to worry about all the packaging waste at home.
- Because a lot of heart and soul has gone into the cuts and designs, and they are sure to become real favorites for you and your children.
- And because in 2025 it will simply no longer be necessary to buy everything from Chinese mass production, where the working conditions in the sewing factories and the origin of the raw materials are more than questionable.
How about getting some truly favorite pieces for our children this spring? Labels that are trying to make the world a little better – specifically for OUR children . These are often the work of designers who put a lot of thought into sustainable materials and cuts that will last for years. We're not saying, "No more fast fashion!" – we're saying, "Try something new, and maybe you'll enjoy shopping for sustainable children's fashion and supporting small labels just as much as we and our families do."

We've tried a lot over the past few years, and there are a few we order from time and time again. In the following table, we show you our top 10 favorite brands for children's clothing. Almost all Brands are GOTS-certified and have their own foundations or social projects that they support.
The point "Our rating" reflects our personal assessment of the price-performance ratio and the brand. The first three mentioned—Hessnatur, frugi, and Band of Rascals—are our favorites, and we order from them often. But we also have a few favorites from the other brands in our closet that are passed down time and time again.
